Some of the work the Governing Body has to do can be delegated to separate committees. These are smaller groups of governors who meet regularly and are given areas of responsibilities. These responsibilities are defined by the 'Terms of Reference' for each committee. This document must be ratified annually by the Full Governing Body and ensures that the committee is aware of what it can and can't do.Committees report back to the full governing body at the earliest opportunity to ensure all governors are kept up to date with progress.
